A weekend of fun and creativity with two Mum’s and their daughters making dichroic
glass cabochons (glass slumping in the kiln) and then setting them into silver
the next day.
Here the students are cutting pieces of glass and assembling them on a kiln
shelf ready to go into the kiln. As the glass begins to get hot it ‘slumps’ to
form rounded edges.
The glass cabochons just out of the kiln.
Next the students wrapped the glass with silver metal clay and they went back
into the kiln.
The finished jewellery ready to wear.
