I had a good workshop today with some lovely ladies who came to play with polymer clay.

Jen Crossley Workshop
It was good to be a student for a change. My friend Merryl and I booked into a coupe of workshops at the Scraptivate Store in Perth with Jen Crossley. The first was making a brass bezel to which an image was added and then filled with resin. The second was etching brass sheets for book covers.
These are examples that Jen showed us in the class.
Jen – talking about ice resin Merryl – soldering her bezels
Stamping the book covers Jen – submersing the brass in ferric chloride

More Zentangles and Doodles
I’m still playing around with Zentangles. It is quite relaxing and I can get out my visual diary in the evening and unwind with a few ink doodles on paper. There’s heaps of information on the web. I’ve downloaded a few instruction diagrams and have a go following them and then incorporating them into my own designs.
I’ve been drawing them onto polymer clay as well and they have been very popular at the couple of venues I’ve been to recently.
