This a photo of the locusts in the orchard. All the little white dots that you can see are the insects.
I set the shutter speed on the camera to fast and tried to get the locusts in flight.
Here is one on the ground that I zoomed in on. Its well camouflaged.

Hi Pam. I hope your farm was not devastated by the locusts. Up to now locusts were just something in books or nature prorams on TV. Thinking about you. Mags
So far the locusts are finding plenty of grass to tuck into. The problem will be if they eat it all and there are still swarms around they will look for something else to eat. Hoping its not our vegies.
