I got stung today in the garden by these little wasps.They are Polistes paper wasps. The sting was very painful but soon went after applying ice blocks for about 15mins.

When closing my pool in September I ran into a whole bunch - I counted about a dozen stings - my arm swelled - not too much -used ice too - really red took forever to heal and I still have dark marks and two still flare up - they are really nasty little things
