After loading the car with my kiln, numerous tools and equipment i set off for the five hour drive to Albany in the south for the annual Summer School.
The temperatures were soaring, it was 38 degrees when I set off at 8am. Bush fires were raging in Perth hills and i later learnt that fifty six homes were lost.
I stopped at Williams for a coffee and the temperature was fort-five degrees.
I arrived safely in Albany and settled into my accommodation at Vancouver Arts Centre.
