Thoughful DH

Patrick flew to Broome for a couple of days to visit Ruth. He had time to buy me these pressies when he wasn't fishing.
Isn't he well trained?

Three Workshops in One Day

Combining with two textile friends we had an interesting and somewhat tiring day. Splitting an group of eager ladies into three groups we each taught a class rotating the groups from tutor to tutor three times during the day. They each completed their three projects and learnt many techniques to explore at their leisure. It was a fun day with no pressure or hassles. We received very positive feed back and enthusiasim to perhaps repeat this type of workshop sometime in the future.

Art to Wear, Sydney 2006

These are photos of some of the exhibits at Darling Harbour, Sydney this year. They are published in 'Template', a NSW Quilting Magazine. If you click on the image to enlarge you can probably read the names of the exhibitors and see the garments in a bit more detail. Dale Rollerson and I are both Western Australian artists and are top left in the photos.

I thought I'd like to share some of the photographs that I've taken near where I live.

Wildflower Season

Here in Western Australia people flock to the country areas where the wildflowers are prolific.
Where I live in a small town north of Perth, we have a 'Wildflower Festival'. The town hall is decked with wildflowers and related displays. This year the organising committee have asked if I would display my 'Art to Wear ' garments that have a wildflower theme. I will display my 'Tingle Forest Goddess Garment' and my 'Gum Blossom' waistcoat. There will be an opportunity to sell some jewellery at the festival so I am making some 'wildflower' themed pendants.
