I had loaded the car with food supplies, craft materials including the kiln (which weighs 37 kilos), the evening before so set off early for the 5hour drive to Albany.
Arrived in good time to the college where I would be teaching and then off to my accommodation at the Vancouver Arts Centre.
A swim on Middleton Beach was next as the temperatures were really high.
