Ready for a Blog change

I'm looking at changing my blog to a more user friendly blog. I'm disliking Google Blogger. There's such a small area to write in and edit photos etc. Any ideas anyone?

Metal Clay workshop

I had a lovely lady Davinia Algeri for a workshop recently who was good company and produced some neat pieces of work for her first metal clay experience. Davinia is very experience in making jewellery and I am looking forward to seeing what she makes with the items she produced at the workshop. She wrote a very nice report of her time with me on her blog.

Mullewa Workshops

I have had an amazing time away in the small town of Mullewa, about one hour's drive inland from Geraldton. Mullewa is well known for the beautiful wildflowers in the months of August and September, the church built by the architect-priest John Hawes and several heritage walks throughout the town.

I was well looked after by the Shire's Community Development Officer, Rachel and her dog Ruby.
Time past very quickly with fourteen days of teaching and a couple of day trips into Geraldton.
As an Artist in Residence, I taught both polymer and metal clays. The theme was 'Inspired by nature, Made by hand' and there will be an exhibition of work with the same title. Most of the students had no experience in polymer clay and had never seen metal clay before, however they really excelled in the their commitment to learning and producing jewellery pieces using both mediums.
Some of the workshops were held in an old railway station the hosted the local Art & craft group.

Some of the workshops were with the Yamaji women in their well equipped centre in the town.

These are some photos taken in the polymer clay series of workshops.
