Passed my Forklift Test

Today I set off for the city at 6am to a training centre where I sat a written test and then had a practical for driving a forklift........I passed my test and now am a 'forky' offically.

My forklift certificate is Nationally and WorkSafe Accredited. So if I had to get a real job I could apply to be a forklift driver.....heaven forbid. I just need the ticket to use a colleague's machine at the market.

We were shown this photograph of how NOT to use forklifts in the workplace.

A day on the Swan River

Today was spent cruising on the Swan River with a friend. Ideal weather conditions for a winter's day.

Dichroic, Bronze, Silver & Enameling

Dichroic Glass

Lemon Wedge Beads

Enameling on Silver

Busy, busy having a couple of play days. My friend, May Bartrum is living in Perth for a couple of months. She has been up to my studio for a 'play with clay' session.

May and I follwed Barbara Becker Simons instructions on making the lemon wedge beads. Barbara has a fantasic new book out containing a wealth of knowledge on metal clay. May was fortunate to attend Barbara's classes when she came to Australia last year with the PMC Guild's visiting artists programme.
