Another creative day with polymer clay and zentangle drawing at the Capricorn Community House. Students working with polymer clay were shown how to make patterned canes using an extruder. We used the Makin’s extruder which is available for purchase here. Its such a versatile little tool.
Zentangle drawing in the afternoon was a relaxing time. Students drew structured patterns one stroke at a time and produced some lovely work.

Whitfords Sea Rescue & Two Rocks Marine Rescue Group
Today I was skipper on duty with Two Rocks Marine Rescue Group. Crew member, Thomas Kim and I took out Guardian I to rendezvous with Green2 from Whitfords Sea Rescue Group. Green 2 is a 11.3m Naiad Rigid Inflatable fast response sea rescue boat, built by Kirby Marine. It is fitted with all the latest electronic equipment, Radio Direction Finding capabilities and a FLIR Infra Red Camera. The boat is named ‘City of Joondalup’ in recognition of the significant grant received from the City of Joondalup.
Skipper Peter Huggins and crew showed us over their vessel and then we did some training out of the marina.
